CHOOSING YOUR HOUSE
In the house of Beth-Aven
where lies entwine with truth,
multitudes sing sleepy hymns
ingrained in them since youth.
Teachers brought them to this point,
this simple frame of mind -
where only saving matters
and true love must be blind.
Teaching is a part-time thing
for preachers in this place,
every line of Bible truth
they must opinion lace.
Into this house of 'worship'
deceptions creep and grow -
choking out the feeble life
God once loved long ago.
Now His heart is saddened
to see what they've become -
adrift with every doctrine
no matter where it's from;
The lie of Eve and apples,
when sex is what she learned
twin sons from separate fathers -
the REAL fruit they both earned.
The lie of April-Ishtar,
children search in the grass
for eggs galore - pagan rites!
Passover you've made crass!
You celebrate His birthday
with food and shiny things -
with presents never meant for Him
you love the King of kings?
Fly away to save your souls,
a 'Rapture' to His side?
your faith is truly nothing
when you only run and hide.
He said He hates such doctrines*,
and if you really cared
you'd come out of that stupor
and from the lies be spared.
Beth-Aven is house of nought,
Beth-El is house of God -
choose this day your dwelling place,
cast off that house of fraud!

Followers And Leaders
To follow a Great Leader, we have to know his goal;
he must be one in purpose, and reach through to the soul.
Such a man was Moses ~ although he had his faults,
he pushed past all resistance, and Pharoah's dark assaults.
Nothing could deter him ~ not storm, or doubt, or fear
all of us knew well his faith, that God drew him so near.
Moses was our leader then, but man can never be
the Holy, Loving Shepherd who transforms our destiny.
Only God could save us all, no human would suffice,
Only His true purity could pay the awful price.
His harsh and strict requirements that seemed so hard to bear
now faded in the shadows as His Son was hanging there.
Yes, He chose to do it ~ to help us understand
The Perfect, Total leadership Eternity demands.
Lessons don't come easy ~ we learned through trials and fear
our Father's plan is perfect, if only we would hear!
To overcome all sin and death ~ the fruit that Jesus bore,
brings forth His Lasting Kingdom, and all it has in store!
